online business: not so easy

Today, all of us are on the Internet. Everybody has an idea, you can just start a website through a simple blog, it's pretty easy to start and share.

But the most difficult is being successful: first of all, you have to be clear on your message in your webtittle, your home page, your content. Now, the content is one of the most powerful issue on the SEO and on the conversion factor on a web.

Before registering and starting your online shop, do you have thought about:

-a specific business plan including : marketing costs on the Internet (on a monthly base due to this huge opportunty market, special targets, marketing tools distintions), any other costs to launch the activity
-a timing to be present on your webpage at least 3 hours a day to share your comments, your ideas, your new products, after-sales service, call center or transport tracking. Be aware that doing business on the internet wil require at least 8 hours per day during the first 12 months of activities (for a one man company).
-a timing for actualisation and stock management
-Good knowledge of your catalogue, clear sections for final users
-Good knowledge of any finantial payment option
-Protection of privacy customers data (and of course published on your website)
-General sales conditions
-Investment in stock and good knowelge of your suppliers: this has to be aprt of your BP

To be successuf, you need a lot more than a good idea: this will require a special initial investment (cash available), many hours to launch the online shop on SEO, many phone calls to transport companies and suppliers, a good adviser to get a full online shop in terms of laws, friendly use and maximum flexibility. Note that your webmaster has also to be 100% available for you during the first 3 months.

The ideal is to deal with a webmaster but also an e-marketeer with high experience of sales & marketing policy.

After some weeks or a few months, you have to be able to actualise your web by yourself and adapt this one to your customers needs and demands. So, choose a flexible model to make frequent changes.

These are just some tips to help you to get firstly a global idea of your online activity.
