After a selection between some12 Belgian (Walloon) manufacturers of a great range of minimum 7 craftsmade beers, our Chinese partner with our support and advise has decided to work with BRASSERIE ULTRA, a small sized company located in Ecaussines, www.brasserieecaussines.com.
The requirements to export to China are basically some administrative saftey documents: Certificate of Origin (Chamber of Commerce), Safety and Food hygiene certificate (Sanitary local authorities certificate), commercial proforma invoice and packing list in English, all labels translated and some other tips to discover when you start working with Asian people.
Usually, the key is to get the right contact and decision maker in China in order to really run a good and long term business. A starter in that country needs approximately 6 to 8 months to go through the right contacts.
To do business with China is no so difficult but you need to be hard-worker, give a good administration support and be able to communicate in English wiht a very fast reacion to any question or doubt.
I will personally follow up the first steps in the Chinese market of Brasserie Ultra together with Mr Hugues Van Houcke, owner of this wonderful top quality belgian beers.

Networking in La Safor- Spain
Spain is living a real difficult moment for all the family businesses and products r services related to building, food & drinks, services. So the main axes of the economy are touched.
The banks are just waiting what will happen with Greece and the euro-zone.
The politics are waiting the next elections (will be next November 20th).
So, we are on "stand-by" with no financial ressources to support the small businesses or expanson plan; no job will be created in that context.
A small group of businessmen from La Safor (Valencia) have created a Networking group (through LinkedIn) to work together on finding solutions and dynamise this region by giving a concrete plan to the local authorities.
This is a positive sign for Spain but this effort has to be done by all of us. We cannot wait for the solution, we have to create this solution and move together to push the individual and global responsibilities.
If such context would happen in Northern Europe, everybody would be out asking for an immediate solution.
I fully support this young dynamic group, just follow this example and move on.

E-Commerce in Spain increases a 85%
The economic situation in Spain is very hard for many people. With more than 5 millions unemployees and a "hole" in politics supports to help business activities of the sme, many young people have decided to create their own online shop, just to try how is doing the e-commerce adventure.
One example, www.sedalinne.com, a Valencia based 2 people company and they started 2 years ago as a funny activity as they selected the best manufacturers in their market, they created a reduced online web and in 2 years, they have developped their activities worldwide with more than 400 references.
So, we have to react to difficulties and be creative, be open to other cultures and create new opportunities.
You just have to think firstly on a Business Plan, Feasibility Plan and howmuch will it cost at the beginning in order to limit the finantial risks.
As personal coach, I always recommend to share a first activity with some experienced people in the selected field

Networking for active women
FAR (Femmes Actives en Réseau), www.reseau-far.be, has been launched 5 years ago in Liège, Belgium.
The goal is to organise a network of active women and organise events such as dinners, outdoor activities, sports events, trainings, etc.
This network counts today more than 1300 members an with an average of 3 to 4events/month.
I have the pleasure to participate and know some of these very dynamic members and I really push any woman with a specific project, an idea of business to come and share her experience.
It's always very rich to know new people with other perspectives than yours, to listen and to encourage such projects.
Now, this network also opens its doors to men to stimulate any business cooperation or activities.
I highly recommand this kind of initiative and participation to open your mind on a personal level. You will feel more secure about your project, you will share your fears, you will find support and very dynamic spirit.

How to boost motivation and creativity?
In many family owned companies, where people have been working there for more than 30 years and management is based on the experience of the family, we can observe that nobody is 100% compromised with the company, all the workers are just doing their job as the day before or as the previous year without looking around the market what's happening outside.
It's very important to let all the workers develop themselves listening some ideas, offering trainings, or explaining the business, the strategy of the company and how you have to feel your job and the individual motivation towards the team.
The family owned companies need external consultants or coaches just to stop the time during some days and analyse: Who is the company? Where's going the company? What do we really want for the company? How to reach it?
These steps are very important to be successfull in business an to go on growing.
In Spain, many companies have missed these issues some years ago and are closed now. Any business opportunity is changing just looking around us, day by day, we need to be more creative but still analyst.

1-For your first meeting or telephone call, prepare a brief dialogue
*Introduce yourself and your company activities- 1 or 2 minuts maximum (read a written text if you're not sure of yourself)
*Reason of your call
*Try to reach the right person
*Try to fix a meeting
2-Always anticipate by e-mail
3-For the first meeting, if you have some language problem, you can ask some support from Awex (AEC), through our regional center.
Or you can be assisted by myself. There are also grants from the Walloon Governement to support this investment (the ROI is usually measured on a short term for sme with a high availability of products or services).
