With more than 17 years experience now, on international level, in different markets, segments and after getting a good knowledge (but still poor) on human behaviours, I personally think that the word " coach" is not a good way to be introuced to a company, or a professonal group. The job to be done is helping the owner of the company to boost the core business and improve the results of the company. So, I bet that's more a business development description task neverthless we're talking on short term periods to start a new mentality, a new way of thinking and a new vision to the business.
Today, the Internet is so powerfull tht we have to concentrate on our notoriety firstly, to be the leader on the SEO with the right content, the perfect links, the new designs or customers forums. The Marketing role is getting so important that in many companies, the usual Slaes & marketing Manager job is no longer affordable but do we really anticipate that change? In many cases of traditional structures in small sized companies, the response is "no". We are just fighting day by day to maitain the company on our global market.
We really need to stop some hours, take the time to think about where do I go? what do I want for my guys and for my company? How to get there? Which special tools do I need and which timing and priorities to implement?
Being specialised in SME's, repetition on each scenario: be aware, open your mind, be curious, be informed, listen to others, ask what others are thinking about the same idea, try to "innovate" and grow!
